Britain’s Top 50 Best Managed IT Companies - Westtek Solutions Celebrates

Recently, Westtek Solutions was invited to complete a Best Business Practice survey with a view to being evaluated against industry best practice and to enter for an award as one of the UK’s Top 50 Best Managed IT Companies.
The organisers of the award, Technoplanet, is an international channel marketing and communications company specialising in the technology sector. Since 1993, their mission has been to develop best-practice solutions that help technology manufacturers develop and manage their channel partners.
The award was open to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs). To be eligible for entry, companies should be profitable or on a high growth path over the preceding three years. Participants were required to fill out an in-depth questionnaire containing two hundred questions across twelve key areas of business. The questions have been designed to test their systems, showcase their strengths and highlight areas that may benefit from improvement. Companies were required to demonstrate their best practices within each of the twelve areas and eight judges from a variety of backgrounds then reviewed and audited each application. Scores were awarded against a predetermined set of criteria. In addition, judges reviewed key public areas of the business, such as social media, web sites, charity work and customer testimonials. The fifty companies with the highest scores were then named as one of Britain’s Top 50 Best Managed IT Companies.
The award ceremony was held at the Institute of Directors in London and, owing to CEO Francis West’s departure for South Africa, Key Shareholder, Graeme Ison was on hand to accept the award on Westtek Solutions behalf.
It was gratifying to receive recognition for Best Practice, particularly in such a competitive and populated sector.
